Despite journalists being cautioned beforehand not to ask Armenian singer Erna Yuzbashyan about her personal life, Yuzbashyan, while meeting with journalists today, was found to be generous and said that she’s giving journalists the freedom to ask her whatever they want.\u00a0<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
“I’m quite a humble person, all of these outbreaks are like death for me,” said the singer, speaking in Armenian than transitioning to Russian.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
During the entire press conference, Yuzbashyan spoke partly in Armenian and partly in Russian, informing journalists about her upcoming Sept. 30 concert.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
“The release of a new album became the basis for the concert, we understood that we have to come out of that boundary and work for the wider society,” she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Erna’s producer Karen Grigoryan said that the concert, in its way, is going to be a “frank discussion with the audience.”<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
“We’ve refused all sorts of decorations; there’s going to be only lights, shadows and the artist during the concert,” he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Since the singer had lived in the US for many years, a question came up during the press conference, asking her if she will be residing permanently in Armenia.<\/p>\n

“Yes, I have already come to Armenia five times this year. I wouldn’t come if I didn’t intend to establish permanent residency [here]. I’ve never severed my ties, I’ve remained Armenian, I haven’t become American. I want to live in Armenia, I want my daughter, my kid to become Armenian, to associate with Armenian children, to know what is real Armenian friendship. There, in America, children don’t play in the hayat<\/span><\/span> [courtyard], they don’t run, don’t go crazy.
