On the social networking site Facebook, a group that said they were against the screening of Azerbaijani films in Yerevan announced that they would stage a protest at the media center in Yerevan, the place where the film screenings were to take place.\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to the Facebook group page, those interested were to gather at the media center at 3:30 pm; however, at the noted time, there were only about three people gathered.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the media center students, those gathered didn’t say they had come to protest, simply that they came to find out whether the festival was to take place or not.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The festival, which was to begin today, was postponed to an as-yet unspecified date. Note that festival organizer Georgi Vanyan, the president of the Yerevan-based Caucasus Center for Peace-Making Initiatives NGO, had posted an update on the event page on Facebook informing all that the festival would not be taking place from Nov. 2\u20134.<\/p>\n
