From Jan.\u2013Oct. this year, State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) exported 278.46 million cubic meters of natural gas to Georgia, reports Business Georgia.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In Oct. alone, 31.12 million cubic meters of natural gas was exported to Georgia \u2014 more than twice as much as September (14.3 million cubic meters).<\/p>\n

SOCAR’s own natural gas supply was exported through the pipeline in Azerbaijan’s Gazakh region connecting the two countries.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In Nov. 2008, an agreement was signed between Georgia and Azerbaijan which gave SOCAR the possibility of revitalizing its activities in the Georgian market in the coming 5 years.
