{"id":58570,"date":"2011-01-25T14:57:26","date_gmt":"2011-01-25T10:57:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/?p=58570"},"modified":"2011-01-25T14:57:26","modified_gmt":"2011-01-25T10:57:26","slug":"turkey-denies-reports-of-armenian-nuclear-plant-radiation-leakage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2011\/01\/25\/turkey-denies-reports-of-armenian-nuclear-plant-radiation-leakage.html","title":{"rendered":"Turkey Denies Reports of Armenian Nuclear Plant Radiation Leakage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Turkish media have denied reports circulating yesterday that because of a radiation leakage from the Metsamor Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) in Armenia&#8217;s Armavir marz (province), experts from \u00c7ekmece Nuclear Research and Training Center and Erzrum&#8217;s Atat\u00fcrk University began to carry out research to measure radiation levels in Turkey&#8217;s eastern and southeastern regions of I\u011fd\u0131r, Agra, Mu\u015f , Tunceli and \u015e\u0131rnak.<\/p>\n<p>According to \u00c7ekmece Nuclear Research and Training Center specialists, they are, in fact, carrying out research in six provinces; however, this research has no connection to the Metsamor NPP.<\/p>\n<p>Recall, Armenia&#8217;s Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources yesterday denied reports of radiation leakage from Metsamor.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;No radiation leakage has been recorded.
