{"id":60597,"date":"2011-01-31T12:55:55","date_gmt":"2011-01-31T08:55:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/?p=60597"},"modified":"2011-02-01T10:22:05","modified_gmt":"2011-02-01T06:22:05","slug":"armenia-not-yet-vacating-its-citizens-from-egypt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2011\/01\/31\/armenia-not-yet-vacating-its-citizens-from-egypt.html","title":{"rendered":"Armenia Not Yet Evacuating its Citizens from Egypt (updated)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Republic of Armenia (RA) has not yet made a decision to evacuate its citizens from Egypt, RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs press spokesperson Tigran Balayan told Epress.am today.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If such a decision is made, we&#8217;ll let you know,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Note that a number of countries, including the US, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan and Azerbaijan, earlier announced they would be evacuating their citizens from the North African country.<\/p>\n<p>Balayan informed Epress.am that the foreign affairs ministry \u2014\u00a0 through the hotline of Armenian Embassy in Egypt\u2014 was able to get in contact with about 10\u201315 Armenians who are currently in Cairo.<\/p>\n<p>According to unconfirmed information, there are currently about 200 Republic of Armenia citizens in Egypt.<\/p>\n<p>As previously reported, the Armenian embassy in Cairo launched a hotline.
