In the next few months, a somewhat complex plan might be proposed in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karbakh conflict along the lines of “Armenia gives up part of its territories on the condition that Azerbaijan recognizes the remaining territories as an independent state,” said Konstantin Krylov, chief editor of the Russian news site APN (Agency of Political News), in an interview with the Baku-based news source Zerkalo, noting that “this formula will be covered by three layers of verbal lace.”<\/p>\n
Such an option, in his opinion, won’t be approved and the situation will rapidly retreat. “This yo-yo can spin for a long time, until everyone is truly tired or until the case leads to war.”<\/p>\n
At the same, Krylov notes that the resumption of hostilities would be a disaster, including for Azerbaijan. “In this case, you can say bye-bye to record-breaking economic growth, investment and prospects for development.”<\/p>\n
