{"id":63873,"date":"2011-02-08T14:17:20","date_gmt":"2011-02-08T10:17:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/?p=63873"},"modified":"2011-02-08T14:18:03","modified_gmt":"2011-02-08T10:18:03","slug":"jirair-sefilian-to-participate-in-karapetyans-rally","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2011\/02\/08\/jirair-sefilian-to-participate-in-karapetyans-rally.html","title":{"rendered":"Jirair Sefilian to Participate in Karapetyan&#8217;s Rally?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s possible that Jirair Sefilian, the activist behind the Sardarapat movement, will make a speech at the Feb. 15 People&#8217;s Party rally outside the Matenadaran (Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts), said People&#8217;s Party leader Tigran Karapetyan at a press conference today.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on rumors that he met with Sefilian and is preparing to meet with People&#8217;s Party of Armenia (not to be confused with Karapetyan&#8217;s party) leader Stepan Demirchyan and Republic party leader Aram Sargsyan, Karapetyan said:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I had a phone conversation with Sefilian, but I have neither met with nor spoke on the phone to Demirchyan or Sargsyan, and I&#8217;m not preparing to.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Asked by Epress.am whether Karapetyan might be preparing to call a rally in Yerevan&#8217;s contested Liberty Square, the People&#8217;s Party leader said, &#8220;If I did such a thing, HAK [the Armenian National Congress] would say, see, he wants to take over this too. It doesn&#8217;t matter where I will gather with the people.
