The West is inciting Turkey against Russia and Russia against Turkey, said Turkish political analyst Mehmet Perin\u00e7ek during a round table in Moscow on “Saakashvili’s new aggression. Russia fighting for a new Caucasus.”<\/p>\n

“Cooperation between Soviet Russia and Turkey ensured the friendship between the peoples of the Caucasus and maintained stability in the region; it eliminated the Armenian question, the conflict between Georgia and Armenia and the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Therefore, I think that cooperation between Turkey and Russia in the Caucasus would only benefit those countries,” he said.<\/p>\n
Perin\u00e7ek is sure that the West is screening “the same film in the Caucasus.” “The US wants to capture Central Asia. The springboard for this is the Caucasus and the Middle East. American politicians have developed a ‘Greater Middle East’ plan. Under this project, they want to change the boundaries of 24 countries in the region, including Turkey. In the Caucasus, due to revolution and sometimes aggression, as we saw in 2008, they want to encircle Russia.<\/p>\n
“Our countries once again face a threat from the West, this time from the United States.
