{"id":68265,"date":"2011-02-18T19:41:29","date_gmt":"2011-02-18T15:41:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/?p=68265"},"modified":"2011-02-18T19:42:52","modified_gmt":"2011-02-18T15:42:52","slug":"ruling-coalition-intends-to-push-opposition-out-of-parliament-oskanian","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2011\/02\/18\/ruling-coalition-intends-to-push-opposition-out-of-parliament-oskanian.html","title":{"rendered":"Ruling Coalition Intends to Push Opposition Out of Parliament: Oskanian"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The ruling coalition\u2019s announcement highlights the authorities\u2019 disregard of democracy, elections and the public will, begins the statement released by Armenia&#8217;s former foreign minister, founder and board president of the Civilitas Foundation Vartan Oskanian.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The ruling coalition has openly declared that in the upcoming parliamentary elections they are not prepared to do what political forces are fundamentally meant to do: that is, to enter into open competition.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Further, the coalition, which already enjoys absolute majority, intends to push out of the parliament those in opposition who, as it is, constitute an extremely small minority.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This does not help alleviate the already complex social, economic and political situation in the country; instead, it further exacerbates the situation.
