{"id":74483,"date":"2011-03-10T23:39:24","date_gmt":"2011-03-10T19:39:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/?p=74483"},"modified":"2011-03-10T23:39:24","modified_gmt":"2011-03-10T19:39:24","slug":"armenian-azerbaijani-georgian-human-rights-defenders-demonstrate-in-geneva","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2011\/03\/10\/armenian-azerbaijani-georgian-human-rights-defenders-demonstrate-in-geneva.html","title":{"rendered":"Armenian, Azerbaijani, Georgian Human Rights Defenders Demonstrate in Geneva"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On March 10, members of the South Caucasus Network of Human Rights Defenders organized a demonstration outside the UN office in Geneva on the protection of human rights: freedom of expression, freedom of assembly, as well as political prisoners of the South Caucasus.<\/p>\n<p>Armenian members of the Network Artak Zeynalyan from \u201cJurists against torture\u201d, Melissa Brown of Shakhatun NGO\u00a0\u00a0and Mikael Danielyan, Chairman of the Helsinki Assocation of Human Rights, the coordinating organisation of the Network in Armenia, participated in the demonstration.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/caucasusnetwork.org\/index.php?a=main&amp;pid=97&amp;lang=eng\">The South Caucasus Network<\/a> of Human Rights Defenders unites 30 human rights NGOs in\u00a0Armenia,\u00a0Azerbaijan\u00a0and\u00a0Georgia.
