{"id":74677,"date":"2011-03-11T13:59:18","date_gmt":"2011-03-11T09:59:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/?p=74677"},"modified":"2011-03-11T14:00:39","modified_gmt":"2011-03-11T10:00:39","slug":"armenian-authorities-lost-control-over-situation-in-country-hovhannisyan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2011\/03\/11\/armenian-authorities-lost-control-over-situation-in-country-hovhannisyan.html","title":{"rendered":"Armenian Authorities Lost Control over Situation in Country: Hovhannisyan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The clauses of a social nature in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/en\/2011\/03\/01\/levon-ter-petrossians-15-demands-approved-by-march-1-demonstrators\/\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\">15 demands<\/span><\/strong><\/a> presented by Armenian National Congress (HAK) leader Levon Ter-Petrossian during the Mar. 1 rally should be the focus of attention for ruling authorities without anyone putting forth an ultimatum, said Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF-D, or Dashnaktsutyun) parliamentary faction leader Vahan Hovhannisyan, speaking to journalists in Yerevan today.<\/p>\n<p>The Dashnak MP noted that these types of clauses have been voiced repeatedly over the past 20 years.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The authorities constantly provide opportunities for speculation on their inactivity and flawed policies. Our people live very poorly and I&#8217;m beginning to doubt whether our authorities see that or not. The authorities today don&#8217;t have full control over the situation. The dike between the authorities and the people is increasingly widening,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Asked whether there&#8217;s a revolutionary situation in Armenia, Hovhannisyan said an &#8220;explosive trend&#8221; is evident among the public. He explained this by the worsening social situation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This explosive situation can lead to a coup, but it won&#8217;t lead to a revolution.
