{"id":77251,"date":"2011-03-18T13:07:22","date_gmt":"2011-03-18T09:07:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/?p=77251"},"modified":"2011-03-18T13:08:03","modified_gmt":"2011-03-18T09:08:03","slug":"hovannisian-highlights-fact-that-ter-petrossian-didnt-approach-him-yesterday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2011\/03\/18\/hovannisian-highlights-fact-that-ter-petrossian-didnt-approach-him-yesterday.html","title":{"rendered":"Hovannisian Highlights Fact that Ter-Petrossian Didn&#8217;t Approach Him Yesterday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Heritage Party leader Raffi Hovannisian, on day 4 of his hunger strike in Liberty Square, speaking to an Epress.am correspondent, noted that he will speak with the press at noon today; however, noticing the increasing number of journalists wanting to speak with him, the party leader agreed to respond to a few questions.<\/p>\n<p>Hovannisian drew attention to the fact that Armenian National Congress (HAK) leader Levon Ter-Petrossian did not approach him yesterday evening during the opposition bloc&#8217;s rally, which saw the group enter Liberty Square to stage a rally for the first time since the notorious events of Mar. 1, 2008.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Every citizen and politician has the right to support [me] or not. If it had been me, regardless of political views, I would approach and greet any hunger-striker,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>The Heritage Party MP (and Armenia&#8217;s former foreign minister) said the move is not due to a lack of consciousness, but rather &#8220;adopted policies, premeditated policies.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It can place the public before a new disappointment,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Hovannisian didn&#8217;t comment on what he meant exactly by &#8220;adopted policy,&#8221; suggesting instead to ask the HAK leader.<\/p>\n<p>Continuing, the party leader noted that he was exultant yesterday seeing the people in Liberty Square. He called people&#8217;s entrance into Liberty Square a &#8220;victory.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I think that this victory is going to continue. And the political force leading the torch before the people will continue this victory; it won&#8217;t stop.
