{"id":79091,"date":"2011-03-24T17:14:48","date_gmt":"2011-03-24T13:14:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/?p=79091"},"modified":"2011-03-24T17:15:53","modified_gmt":"2011-03-24T13:15:53","slug":"mubarak-supporters-and-opponents-clash-in-cairo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2011\/03\/24\/mubarak-supporters-and-opponents-clash-in-cairo.html","title":{"rendered":"Mubarak Supporters and Opponents Clash in Cairo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hundreds of supporters and opponents of Egypt\u2019s deposed leader have clashed in front of a court considering whether to remove his name from government institutions, AP reports.<\/p>\n<p>Police and judicial officials said about 200 people carrying pictures of Hosni Mubarak and 300 opponents threw stones and water bottles at each other Thursday before police and soldiers intervened.<\/p>\n<p>The officials, speaking on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to brief the media, said several people were slightly injured.<\/p>\n<p>The supporters say Mubarak is a hero of the 1973 war with Israel and deserves respect.
