Police Chief Responds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yerevan Police Chief Nerses Nazaryan didn&#8217;t rule out the possibility that the Armenian National Congress (HAK) will be allowed to enter Liberty Square on Apr. 8.<\/p>\n<p>At a meeting with reporters Friday, Epress.am asked the police chief why HAK was permitted to enter Liberty Square on Mar. 17 when Yerevan City Hall had forbade holding a rally there<\/p>\n<p>Nazaryan said HAK&#8217;s intention to enter Liberty Square was likewise a surprise for them (presumably, the police).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Let me clearly say, when during high-level negotiations we made certain concessions to close the street, that perhaps provided them with the impression that if we conceded here, then we&#8217;ll concede there too.
