According to Georgian news agency GHN, the Hydrometeorological Service of Georgia has said that the unusual weather is not associated with increased radiation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A southeast wind has brought dust from Libya and Egypt with the air masses, which led to the unusual precipitation,&#8221; said Hydromet Georgia.<\/p>\n<p>According to weather forecasts, the anomaly will last in Georgia till Apr. 24.<\/p>\n<p>Georgian Green Party leader Gia (George) Gachechiladze was quoted by Georgia Online as suggesting that the atmospheric sand is due to military operations in Libya. &#8220;As a result of explosions in the desert, dust penetrates the atmosphere and the mud rain is as a result of this.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/en\/2011\/04\/20\/unexplicable-heavy-dust-in-the-air-in-yerevan-today\/\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>previously reported<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, Armenia&#8217;s Ministry of Emergency Situations&#8217; Hydrometeorology and Monitoring State Service stated that the same unusual weather condition seen in Yerevan and the surrounding regions is simply a desert storm, same as that which occurred last year.
