The airline company signed a three-year contract with Barcelona at the start of 2010, for which the Catalan football club receives $4 million US annually from the Turkish company.\u00a0 THY signed its 3.5-year contract with Manchester United in May 2010, for which the English club will receive $10 million euros overall.<\/p>\n<p>THY highly praises the fruitfulness of these contracts, particularly considering the fact that both teams made it to the Champions League final.<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/en\/2011\/03\/17\/turkish-company-now-sponsors-henrikh-mkhitaryans-football-club\/\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\">previously reported<\/span><\/strong><\/a>, Earlier this year, THY signed a 1.5-year deal with FC Shakhtar Donetsk, a Ukrainian professional association football club in which Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan plays.<\/p>\n<p>A few months ago, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/en\/2010\/12\/16\/l-a-%E2%80%99s-armenian-community-angry-over-nba-star%E2%80%99s-deal-with-turkish-airlines\/\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>THY signed Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant<\/strong><\/span><\/a> as its \u201cglobal brand ambassador\u201d for the next two years.
