{"id":94152,"date":"2011-05-11T10:22:41","date_gmt":"2011-05-11T05:22:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epress.am\/?p=94152"},"modified":"2011-05-11T10:24:56","modified_gmt":"2011-05-11T05:24:56","slug":"video-eurovision-final-to-be-without-armenia-this-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epress.am\/en\/2011\/05\/11\/video-eurovision-final-to-be-without-armenia-this-year.html","title":{"rendered":"VIDEO: Eurovision Final to be Without Armenia This Year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The first semi-final of the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest took place in the German city of D\u00fcsseldorf with 10 out of 19 countries qualifying for the grand final.<\/p>\n<p>Emmy, representing Armenia with the song &#8220;Boom Boom,&#8221; was no. 4 in the line-up \u2014 however, she was left out of the final 10.<\/p>\n<p>The countries qualifying for the final on May 14 are Serbia, Russia, Lithuania, Greece, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Switzerland, Hungary, Finland and Iceland. Along with Armenia, the following countries were left out: Turkey, Croatia, San-Marino, Poland, Norway, Albania, Malta and Portugal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe width=\"425\" height=\"344\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7djeM3s4waU?wmode=transparent\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen> <\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This is the first time since Armenia&#8217;s participation in Eurovision that it didn&#8217;t make it to the finals. Note, bookmakers were predicting the probability of Emmy being in the top 25 was quite low.
