The “275 women” campaign by the Association for Educating and Supporting Women Candidates (Ka-Der) in Turkey aims to encourage the election of a more gender-representative legislature. Note, there are 550 seats in Turkey’s Grand National Assembly and Ka-Der would like to see more women in parliament.
As reported by Turkish media, photos were recently posted on the Internet that feature prominent party leaders who are asked the question, “What would you do if you were a woman?” In the photos, the men are seen wearing women’s clothing.
Note, Ka-Der chairperson Çiğdem Aydın has noted that the photos are connected neither to the organization nor to the campaign.
