Ijevan to Revive Sculpture Symposium

The RA government’s outdoor meeting took place today in Ijevan, the regional capital of Tavush marz (province).

During the meeting, the executive approved a project-proposal to revive the Ijevan sculpture symposium, which took place annually from 1985 to 1991. During that time, around 95 sculptors from 20 countries participated in the symposium.

In the government-issued release it says that the works created by sculptors breathes particular life into the city today.

The Ijevan sculpture symposium will be re-established in 2011.
