Etchmiadzin resident Ashot Khudoyan, along with his wife and four young children, once again announced an indefinite sit-in across the street from the presidential residence. He is asking the investigator's decision to quash his case to be reconsidered. This news was conveyed to Epress.am by his wife, Heghine Makaryan.
Khudoyan claims his grandfather's will was forged, insisting that his sister and brother, as well as the prosecutor and cadastre employees are involved in the crime. He has repeatedly held protests outside the presidential palace, once sewing his mouth shut. Upon his request, a criminal case was launched.
According to Makaryan, the family received news of the investigator's decision from the regional prosecutor's office on March 15. "The investigator without considering our applications and circumventing a number of important laws illegally quashed the criminal case," she said.
The family is asking the president and the general prosecutor to repeal the investigator's decision; otherwise, they say they will continue their sit-in outside the general prosecutor's office tomorrow.
Later, Makaryan was invited to the Desk for Reception of Citizens, Proposals, Appeals and Claims of the Presidential Oversight Service, where she was told that she has to submit a claim.
"We will sit here for as long as — of course if police officers don't steal again — they finally understand in this country that the law is not only for us, but also for officials concealing fabrications," she said.
