Russian Rosneft Might Be Involved in Armenian Power Utility’s Sale: Press

It's possible that Russia's top oil producer Rosneft might be somehow involved in the sale of Armenian national power distribution company Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA), local “Haykakan Zhamanak” daily writes.

Recall, on September 17 the Armenian Government discussed the motion by Inter RAO UES for the alienation of 100% of the shares of ENA to an offshore-registered (Cyprus) Liormand Holdings Limited.

The founder of Liormand Holdings Limited is another offshore company, Turva Management Limited, which has been founded by yet again an offshore-registered Marcuard Trust Limited.

“Marcuard Trust Limited has been co-founded by Hans-Joerg Rudloff, who, according to [Russian news outlet] Kommersant, was a member of the board of directors of Rosneft from 2006 to 2013, and, according to Financial Times newspaper, is Putin's 'most reliable western banker',” the paper reports.

Another Marcuard Ltd. co-founder, “Haykakan Zhamanak” writes, is Sinan Bodmer, a member of the board of directors of Russian Fora-Bank, which is owned by Russian-based Armenian businessman Samvel Karapetyan's Tashir Group.
