A Mountain in Georgia to be Named After Obama?

Georgian MP Koba Khabazi and his fellow alpinists have proposed to name Georgia’s Mount Shavi Utsnobi (“Black Stranger”) after US President Barack Obama.

According to Georgian media, Khabazi has already conveyed his wish to the US Embassy in Georgia. Note that in Tbilisi, there is already a street named after a US President — George W. Bush.

George Bush Street, located in the central part of Tbilisi, was named in 2005 after the visit of the then US president to Georgia.
