The İstanbul Modern will today unveil a new exhibition titled “Armenian Architects of İstanbul.” The show comes on the heels of a book of the same name, which was published in November as part of the İstanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture program, reports Today’s Zaman.
Curated by architect Hasan Kuruyazıcı, the exhibition highlights the role of forgotten Armenian architects in shaping İstanbul’s urban architecture during the 19th and 20th centuries. The exhibit will remain on view until Jan. 2, 2011.
