Turkey’s Foreign Minister to Go to Georgia for Official Visit

Turkey’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Davutoglu will be in Georgia from Feb. 11–12, Georgian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs David Jalagania told journalists today.

As reported by the Russian-language news site News-Georgia, Davutoglu will visit Tbilisi and Batumi, where meetings with representatives of the country’s leadership are planned.

The last time Turkey’s foreign minister was in Georgia was Sept. 2009, while Georgia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Grigol Vashadze visited Turkey in April 2010.
