Georgian Citizen Attempts to Import Contraband Caviar into Armenia

RA State Revenue Committee employees intercepted an attempt to import contraband caviar into Armenia, according to a press statement issued by the committee.

“About 5.5 kgs of red and black caviar was found in a Tbilisi-Spitak taxi going to Armenia in the possession of Georgian citizen Naira Mikeladze, whose personal baggage was subject to inspection at the Gogavan-Privolnoye customs point. This is where State Revenue Committee employees found out the caviar in glass jars imported by the Georgian citizen had not been declared,” reads the statement.

The contraband goods have been transferred to a customs warehouse.
