Parishioners of penal institutions organized a baptismal ceremony at Artik penitentiary on Mar. 4.
Newly appointed clergyman of penal institutions Fr. Ruben Zargaryan, Fr. Koryun Arakelyan and Fr. Arshen Sargsyan of the Shirak Diocese baptized 21 prisoners.
“Through baptism, not only were you cleansed of your sins, but also you received gifts of the Holy Spirit, so that you may live your life according to covenants and commandments of Christ. And Christ’s greatest testament is love,” said Fr. Ruben in his congratulatory remarks.
Those who were baptized were given crosses from the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, reports Etchmiadzin’s press service.
