According to the international NGO Transparency International, Georgia is fifth in the world in terms of the least amount of police corruption, reports Georgia Online.
The report notes that over the past year, 3% of the country’s population bribed only one of nine government agencies.
According to this indicator, Georgia is a member of the most non-corrupt countries along with Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Israel, Poland, Norway, Spain, UK, USA and a number of other countries.
Further, according to respondents, 78% find that over the past 3 years the level of corruption in Georgia has declined while 9% believe the opposite.
