Heritage Party MPs Won’t Join Party Leader in Hunger Strike

This morning, Heritage Party MPs Zaruhi Postanjyan and Anahit Bakhshyan paid a visit to party leader Raffi Hovannisian, who’s been on a hunger strike in Liberty Square since Mar. 15.

Bakhshyan, responding to a question by Epress.am as to whether other party members aren’t preparing to join Hovannisian in the hunger strike, said such an opinion was voiced, but was voted down by party members.

Recall, according to a statement issued by NGOs and members of the public, a tent for Hovannisian will be erected in Liberty Square at 6 pm today.

Bakhshyan said she still can’t imagine how the authorities will respond to this demand.

“As you know, numerous NGOs have said… I don’t know, let’s see how the authorities will show their face this time,” she said.
