Turkey has urged the international community to investigate and take preventative measures against what it says are attacks by some Armenian groups at pavilions promoting Turkey abroad, reports Anadolu Ajansi.
“Attacks on events promoting Turkey abroad by some Armenian groups have recently increased. We are expecting these countries to prosecute those attacks and take measures to prevent their recurrence,” said Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Selçuk Ünal (pictured), citing as examples attacks against Turkish pavilions in an international book fair in Paris and a prêt-à-porter (ready-to-wear) clothing exposition in Beirut.
“This hostile attitude and the radical nationalist mind set it is founded on have shown its face in the form of terrorist attacks in the past,” Ünal said.
