Armenian National Congress (HAK) coordinator Levon Zurabyan considered surprising Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun, or ARF-D) parliamentary faction leader Vahan Hovhannisyan’s statement at Wednesday’s discussion in the Civilitas Foundation series “100 Hundred Questions, 100 Hundred Answers.”
Recall, Hovhannisyan had said Dashnaktsutyun is not prepared to cooperate with HAK “around a leader,” to decide “who is going to be the nation’s papa or grandpa,” referring to the endearing term often associated with HAK leader Levon Ter-Petrossian.
“At the very least it’s surprising to hear such statements from one [parliamentary faction] party leader who has already long chosen his papa — in current president Serzh Sargsyan — and who is closely integrated in this oligarchic bandit state, forming one part of it,” said Zurabyan.
