‘Respect Women, End Violence’ in Yerevan Today

On occasion of Motherhood (or Maternity) and Beauty Day marked in Armenia today, Women’s Rights Center NGO will be organizing an outdoor exhibit titled “Respect Women, Stop Violence” at Charles Aznavour Square (outside Moscow Cinema) in Yerevan from 1 pm to 6 pm today.

Organizers note that the aim of the exhibit is “to raise public awareness on the negative influence of domestic violence against women and children.”

The exhibit will be comprised of life-size silhouettes of 7 women who have been victims of domestic violence and will include posters on the silhouettes describing the women’s real life experience. Passers-by will be handed information leaflets and booklets to raise awareness on domestic violence.
