Several Public Transport Routes to Yerevan Closed Today

Sources have informed Epress.am that a number of public transport routes leading to Yerevan are currently closed ahead of the Armenian National Congress (HAK) rally at 6 pm at Liberty Square today.

In particular, public transportation routes to Yerevan from Armavir, Etchmiadzin, Jambarak and Alaverdi are not operating. An Epress.am correspondent noticed that only taxis are stopped at the Etchmiadzin bus stop.

Note, today’s opposite rally at Liberty Square is the first sanctioned rally since a ban was imposed following mass unrest in March 2008.
