Armenia Instant Coffee Importer Asked to Provide Explanations for Breach of Regulations

A breach of regulations was uncovered by the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition of the Republic of Armenia during its investigation into the local coffee market, according to a press release issued by the Commission today.

In particular, violations were found within the Mokonat company, which has a dominant position in the instant coffee market. This company’s share in the instant coffee market is 48.1%, reports the Commission.

“Based on the above, today, May 25, it was decided in the RA State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition meeting to issue proceedings against Mokonat company. During the proceedings, the Commission will require explanations from the manufacturer on the identified legislative violations. The results of the proceedings will be presented to the public in a set period,” reads the statement.
