“We are interested in Armenian-Azerbaijani relations to be settled,” said Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan in response to a question on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict raised during the session “Spotlight on Russia” at the World Economic Forum on Europe and Central Asia in Vienna from Jun. 8–9, according to an Armenian government press statement.
According to Sargsyan, Armenia has agreed to the Basic Principles on settling the conflict and is prepared on displaying political will and achieving a swift agreement.
“From our point of view, there are all the objective prerequisites for this. Our Azerbaijani colleagues need to likewise display political will and be prepared to sign an agreement that will become a basis for future negotiations,” he said.
