Opposition Response to Authorities on Dialogue to be Announced at HAK Rally Today

The main issue to be addressed at the Armenian National Congress (HAK) rally today is the opposition bloc’s response to the authorities with respect to the dialogue between HAK and the authorities.

Recall, while speaking at the Parliamentary Assembly Council of Europe (PACE) summer session last week, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan stated that he is not preparing for pre-term elections, which HAK has repeatedly stated is their main demand. It is assumed that HAK leader Levon Ter-Petrossian will be the person to deliver the opposition’s response today.

The rally — sanctioned by Yerevan City Hall — will take place at Liberty Square in Yerevan at 8 pm, followed by a march.
