According to Georgia’s InterPressNews, Associated Press photojournalist Shakh Aivazov has been detained in Tbilisi.
Other detained photographers and photojournalists include: the Georgian president’s personal photographer Irakli Gedenidze and his spouse Natia Gedenidze, photo reporter for the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Giorgi Abdaladze, and photo reporter of the European photo agency Zurab Kurtsikidze, reports InterPressNews.
The Georgian Ministry of Interior Affairs has not yet issued a comment about detention of the photo reporters. The reason for the detention or any other details have not been made public.
