Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) in partnership with the Government of Georgia announced Thursday that Georgia’s first ever MTV Live music event featuring global superstar Enrique Iglesias will take place on Aug. 2, reports MTV news.
An outdoor concert will be held for thousands of fans in the picturesque Black Sea tourist resort of Batumi in its historic Europe Square.
“I can’t wait to experience Georgia’s beautiful coastline. I hope everyone is ready for an exciting night with a great lineup!” said Iglesias.
Iglesias, who holds the record as the best-selling Latin artist of all time, having sold more than 61.5 million albums and 40 million singles around the world, will wow the crowd with a sizzling set list combining the most stunning tracks from his 2010 Spanish/English album release Euphoria, including monster hit “I Like It” and Nicole Scherzinger collaboration “Heartbeat” as well as classic tracks from his greatest hits catalogue including crowd pleasers “Hero” and “Be With You.”
Popular Georgian artists (and Eurovision contestants) Sofia Nizharadze and Eldrine will also perform at MTV Live Georgia.
MTV Live Georgia is a free concert and no tickets are required. The event will commence at 7 pm local time. Due to the capacity of Europe Square, concert goers will be given access on a first come, first served basis while many more will be able to watch on giant screens erected in Batumi at The Boulevard and also in Theater Square.
