Within the scope of intergovernmental cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the People’s Republic of China and through a grant provided to Armenia, Yerevan will be supplied with modern, convenient buses for intracity transport, according to a statement on the Yerevan City Hall website.
According to the signed agreement, the buses will be painted in two stages. As early as November, the first fleet — 66 buses — will be rolled out in the Armenian capital.
In the second stage, the necessary documents to import the next fleet of buses will be prepared by year’s end, and in the first quarter of 2012, an additional 170 buses will be brought to Yerevan. Thus, Yerevan’s total fleet will be comprised of 236 passenger buses.
