Two Bodies Uncovered from Tavush Marz Landslide. Three People Still Missing

At 10:28 am on Monday, search and rescue workers uncovered two bodies from the landslide that struck a segment of the main road linking Bagratashen to Vanadzor in Armenia’s Tavush marz (province).

Yerevan residents Armen Sorsumatyan, 38, and Mekhak Sorsumatyan, 47, were found dead inside their Merecedes C 220 (license plate 27 OU 939). Recall, the two brothers were among the list of those missing since the landslide struck over a week ago.

Recall, out of 12 missing persons, 9 (including the Sorsumatyan brothers) have since been found. From the three still missing, 2 are citizens of Georgia of Armenian descent.
