Three Armenian nationals were injured in a car explosion in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi, reports Kavkaz (“Caucasus”) Press, citing Georgia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The explosion took place at a gas station in Tbilisi’s Ortachala district. The Volkswagen-make vehicle, filling up on natural gas, initially caught on fire and then exploded.
There were 4 citizens of Armenia in the vehicle, 3 of whom were taken to hospital, while the fourth did not sustain injuries. The uninjured party described how there was a heating device next to the car which was the cause of the fire.
Police have launched an investigation.
