Armenia Gives Employees Day Off on Mar. 9 to Mark International Women’s Day

The Armenian government at its regular Thursday meeting today decided this year to recognize Mar. 9 (a Friday) as a statutory holiday celebrating International Women’s Day and instead move the work day to Mar. 17, a Saturday, according to a statement on the government’s official website.

This means, employees can have the day off on Mar. 9 but work on Mar. 17 to make up for the lost working day.
