Villager Wounded by Shot Fired from Azerbaijan: Armenian Defense Ministry

On Oct. 12, a shot was fired from Azerbaijan in the direction of peaceful residents of the village of Nerkin Karmiraghbyur in the Armenian province (marz) of Tavush, who were working in the fields, RA Ministry of Defense spokesperson Artsrun Hovhannisyan wrote on his Facebook page.

“As a result of shooting in the direction of the car, Navur village resident Hayk Kosakyan was wounded in the left side of his chest. He is currently in Berd’s city hospital; his condition is moderate,” wrote Hovhannisyan.

Speaking to Epress.am, Nerkin Karmiraghbyur village mayor Manvel Kamendatyan said that their place of residence and their lands are always under threat by the enemy and there is no guarantee what will happen in the next moment.

“There is always that threat. At present, the villagers have finished gathering the harvest; now everything is fine. The condition of the victim, Kosakyan, is already under control,” the head of the village concluded.
