Republican Student Who Berated Journalists to be Appointed University Provost: Hraparak

After becoming prime minister, Hovik Abrahamyan, who is also the chair of the Armenian State University of Economics (ASUE) Council, is trying to get dedicated young cadres of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) into the management of the university, reports local daily Hraparak

"And he began with the most disgraceful of them all — ASUE Student Union President Sevak Khachatryan, who berated journalists during [Yerevan Mayor] Taron Margaryan’s dissertation defense. According to our information, Abrahamyan decided to appoint Sevak to [the position of] university provost.

Recall, in December 2013, a group of HHK students led by Sevak Khachatryan (pictured) prevented journalists from entering the room where the Yerevan mayor was publicly defending his doctoral thesis. The men who refused to identify themselves cursed and shouted insults at journalists.
