Three cases of swine flu have been reported in Armenia since October, 2015, a spokesperson for the Armenian Ministry of Health told local Haykakan Zhamanak daily.
Two of those infected were children, one – a pregnant woman, and they have all been cured, the Ministry said. They reminded that swine flu has long been considered a subspecies of regular seasonal influenza; the human body is familiar with it and has certain antibodies against it.
“Nevertheless, hundreds of swine flu instances have been recorded in neighboring Iran, and over 30 people have died [from the virus],” the daily stresses.
