An administrative court in Yerevan today postponed the hearing in the A1+ vs. NCTR case.
As previously reported, A1+ TV company initiated court proceedings to annul a Dec. 16, 2010 no. 96A decision by Armenia’s National Commission on Television and Radio (NCTR) in which A1+ lost to ArmNews in the no. 11 broadcast licensing competition.
ArmNews’ representation was not present during the hearing today, but they sent a letter to the court, A1+ attorney Tigran Ter-Yesayan told Epress.am.
“In order to become acquainted with ArmNews’ response, the court allocated time till Jul. 8. It’s too long, but that’s what the court decided. We are going to continue to stand by our arguments, and we hope that the court will take these into consideration. An unlawful intervention by the NCTR took place, and we are asking that the results of the [broadcast licensing] competition be annulled, considering this fact,” he said.
According to A1+, Judge Argishti Ghazaryan once again prohibited A1+ from filming the public court session.
