While meeting with journalists today, environmentalists Gohar Oganezova and Karine Danielyan spoke on the law on subsoil, which the Armenian government soon will submit for consideration at the National Assembly.
Oganezova and Danielyan complained that in the process of preparing the law, no discussion took place and no one listened to their opinion or suggestions.
They said that a public alliance exists, which more than 40 environmentalist organizations and groups have joined, but for this alliance, the environmentalist processes in the country and especially the “Clean Homeland” program remain closed.
For the environmentalists, the rush to submit this law to the National Assembly is incomprehensible, but it only remains to wait and see how state officials will approve a law for the use of subsoil, Armenia’s wealth, said Oganezova and Danielyan.
