Stalin’s Statue in Kutaisi, Georgia, Disappears Overnight

Stalin’s monument has disappeared in the city of Kutaisi in Georgia’s western Imereti region, reports InterpressNews.

Kutaisi City Hall representatives told the press that the city was not involved in the incident: it neither made a decision to dismantle or move the monument nor did it allocate funds from the city budget to take such measures.

The monument was erected in one of the parks at Victory Square.
