Famous Armenian Filmmaker Turns 73 Today

Well-known Armenian filmmaker and documentarian Ardavazd Peleshyan is celebrating his 73rd birthday today.

Peleshyan, born in 1938 in the Soviet Armenian city of Leninakan (modern-day Gyumri), was awarded the title of “Renowned Master of the Armenian SSR Arts” in 1979.

Some of the films he is best known for are The Seasons of the Year, Us, Our Age and Life.
