Heritage Party Again to Participate in Street Trade Ban Protests

At 11 am Thursday, Yerevan street traders will again be protesting outside the Armenian government building.

Speaking to Epress.am, Heritage Party MP Stepan (Styopa) Safaryan said a representative of their party will be at the protest.

“As for whether it’ll be the same situation as it was on Feb. 28 and Mar. 3, Yerevan deputy police chief Robert Melkonyan can answer that,” he said.

Recall, clashes erupted between protestors and police during those days. Police brutality was evident particularly toward Heritage Party MPs Armen Martirosyan and Zaruhi Postanjyan, who were present at the protest.
