Armenian Marxist Party Leader Forms New Alliance ‘Based on Historical, Political Necessity’

Leader of the Marxist Party of Armenia David Hakobyan today issued a call in which he heralded the creation of the “National Front,” a new political alliance.

According to Armenia’s most famous Marxist, the alliance has been created “based on historical, political necessity.”

According to Hakobyan, this is an alliance of the nation’s potential capacities and intellect, the leadership of which is going to be the principle of the apostles. Hakobyan concluded his message with the following words, “National unity is above all else; the nation is in danger. Armenians, be unanimous!”

After reading out his message to journalists during his press conference in Yerevan today, the party leader said creating the alliance will be wrapped up by September this year, adding “No matter how much the authorities talk nonsense, there will be snap elections in September.”

Asked by journalists who will be included in this new alliance, Hakobyan didn’t respond, saying instead that answers to these questions will be provided on “convention day,” the date of which has not yet been decided.
